This week Activities Coordinator Emma enjoyed a baking session with Eileen, who will celebrate her 99th birthday in November.
Emma says:
“What more experience and knowledge could I ask for when baking, Eileen enjoys our baking sessions and is always on hand to offer her years of experience and reminisce of her own youth growing up with a house full of her sisters and home cooking.
When asked what her secret is to staying young Eileen says “she’s always kept active and never married ” always lots of laughs and chatter when baking, meaning more often than not myself and Eileen end up with a lot of flour on ourselves as well as our baking!
